Real Time Monitoring of Hydroponic System using IoT
Hydroponic farming provides a promising solution to traditional agriculture’s challenges, emphasizing efficient resource utilization and long-term crop production. This paper looks into the integration of Internet of Things (IoT) technology into hydroponic systems to improve monitoring, control, and management capabilities. A comprehensive literature survey is used to evaluate various hydroponic systems and their communication technologies, providing valuable insights into system design and implementation. The methodology outlines steps for efficiently managing hydroponic systems, including crop selection, parameter monitoring, data collection, and mobile application development. Visual representations aid in understanding the complex interactions between system components. The results demonstrate the implementation of a horizontal-based hydroponic farming setup with real-time IoT-enabled monitoring and control, aided by a mobile application for remote access and alerts. The integration of IoT technology elevates hydroponic farming as a sustainable option, increasing productivity, precision, and responsibility for the environment.
