Enhancing Workplace Efficiency with the Implementation of the Internet of Things to Advance Human Resource Management Practices

The study delves into the transformative potential of integrating the Internet of Things into Human Resource Management practices, aiming to enhance workplace efficiency and organizational dynamics. Two key hypotheses guide the investigation: first, that the strategic integration of IoT positively influences employee efficiency, measured through metrics like time-to-hire, task completion rates, and HR service response times; and second, that the adoption of IoT-enhanced HRM practices contributes to positive organizational culture and collaboration. The research employs a comprehensive methodology, including quantitative analysis of pre-and post-IoT implementation metrics, qualitative insights derived from thematic analysis, industry-specific and size-stratified comparisons, ANOVA testing, and correlation analyses. Results demonstrate statistically significant improvements post-IoT implementation, reinforcing both hypotheses. Reduced time-to-hire by $\mathbf{3 3 \%}$, increased task completion rates by $\mathbf{2 0 \%}$, and a $\mathbf{5 0 \%}$ reduction in HR service response times signify tangible operational enhancements. Qualitative findings emphasize positive shifts in communication, decision-making, and team dynamics, contributing to a positive organizational culture. Industry-specific analyses highlight the adaptability of IoT benefits across sectors, while size-stratified comparisons showcase its relevance for organizations of varying sizes. The study contributes valuable implications for practitioners, emphasizing the strategic potential of IoT in advancing HRM practices and fostering sustained workplace success in the digital period.
