Abstract

This review article provides an overview of recent advancements, synthesis and potential uses in the study of semiconductors nanoparticles. Given their numerous benefits that encourage innovation and enhance performance, nanoparticles have become an important development in the semiconductor sector. Smaller, faster, and more efficient semiconductor devices can be developed by nanoparticles according to their special qualities, which include high surface area-to-volume ratios, thermal stability, quantum mechanical effects, increased conductivity, and compatibility with current developing methods. Among physical and chemical synthesis process, due to their use of non-toxic substrates and reaction media biological methods are intriguing for applying nanoparticles in biomedical fields. Among the simple techniques being used and having a bright future for large-scale nanomaterials are the solvothermal approach, Chemical vapor deposition (CVD), and sonochemical method. Main findings of this paper that nanoelectronics, solar energy sources, nanophotonics, energy conversion, non-linear optics, tiny sensors and devices for imaging, photography, biomedicine, and other emerging technologies have all been greatly impacted by these novel properties of semiconductor nanomaterials. Additionally acknowledged in this review paper are the challenges associated with developing, and using nanoparticles safely. This paper acknowledges the exciting perspective that nanoparticles will play in shaping the future of semiconductor applications. Still, it underlines the need for more research and development to overcome present challenges and ensure their successful implementation.
