Abstract 325: Mechanical Thrombectomy for Sequential Short‐Interval Bilateral Large Vessel Occlusion

Mechanical thrombectomy (MT) is the standard of care for acute ischemic stroke (AIS) due to large vessel occlusion (LVO) within 24 hours of symptom onset. Approximately 25% of stroke survivors are at risk of recurrence within five years, with a particularly high risk in the first two weeks following the initial event. Although repeat MT for recurrent LVO has been documented as safe and effective, cases involving sequential short‐interval bilateral LVO are rare. This report presents a unique case of bilateral LVO requiring MT within three days.
