Abstract 160: Utilization of Penumbra MIDWAY 43 Catheter in Complex Neurovascular Interventions: Case Study Analysis
In May 2024, Penumbra, Inc. introduced the MIDWAY 43 intermediate delivery catheter featuring a more advanced tracking and positional stability. Among the few institutions in the US utilizing these catheters for neurovascular procedures, endovascular physicians at Tulane University have demonstrated efficacy of the MIDWAY 43 (115 cm and 125 cm) catheters in complex cases, especially in elderly patients with tortuous vessel anatomy. We present four cases highlighting its successful application in neurovascular embolization.
