Abstract 378: Prognostic Value of NCCT vs. CTP in Assessing Long‐term Functional Outcomes in Late‐Window Mechanical Thrombectomy
The DAWN and DEFUSE3 trials have established that mechanical thrombectomy (MT) remains beneficial in late‐window large vessel occlusion (LVO) patients, provided they meet specific imaging criteria, typically assessed by CT perfusion (CTP) or MRI DWI/PWI. However, the added value of advanced imaging modalities like CTP over standard non‐contrast CT (NCCT) in predicting long‐term functional outcomes remains unclear. If non‐significant, NCCT could provide a quicker, more cost‐effective method for guiding clinical decision‐making in this context.
