Abstract 008: Prevalence and Impact of External Carotid Artery Stenosis in Stroke with Carotid Tandem Lesions: Results from the Alteplase compared to Tenecteplase (AcT) Trial
Strokes caused by carotid tandem lesions can alter cerebral hemodynamics leading to compensatory collateral pathways involving the external carotid artery (ECA). We examined the prevalence of ipsilateral ECA disease and outcome variability among stroke patients with carotid tandem lesions.
