Abstract 406: Size Matters: Large vs. Small Bore Catheters in M2 Thrombectomy, A Safety and Efficacy Analysis
Aspiration catheters are used in mechanical thrombectomy to treat acute ischemic strokes. However, there is no current consensus regarding safety of differentcatheter bore sizes used to treat M2 occlusions. Also, there is a consistent fear in theneuro‐intervention world of using large bore catheters in the M2. Our goal is to compare differences in outcomes when large versus small bore catheters are used to treat M2occlusions.
