Abstract 089: Effect of Bridging with IV Thrombolysis Versus Direct Thrombectomy on Infarct Growth and Functional Outcomes: Sub‐Analysis from the SELECT Study
Thrombolysis adjunctive benefit for patients likely to receive endovascular thrombectomy (EVT) is in question. While several clinical trials and a meta‐analyses largely failed to show non‐inferiority of direct EVT, they were criticized for wide non‐inferiority margins. We sought to assess if bridging with IV thrombolysis (IVT) prior to EVT would be associated with reduced infarct growth and improved functional outcomes.
