Abstract 100: Evolving Trends in Stroke Mortality: The Role of Metabolic Risk Factors in the United States Over Thirty Years
Stroke ranks as the second leading cause of death and disability in the United States, with modifiable risk factors (MRF) contributing significantly to its burden. From 2019 to 2020, the economic cost of stroke care in the USA was estimated at $56.2 billion. The impact of the modifiable metabolic risk factors on stroke burden in the US over the past thirty years has not been quantified.
