Abstract 415: Surgical Resection of Lumbar Spinal Epidural Arteriovenous Fistula Presenting With Sensory and Motor Radiculopathy: Case Report.
Spinal epidural arteriovenous fistula (SEDAVF) are rare complex vascular malformations that occur when paraspinal or paravertebral arteries connect with the epidural venous plexus lesions. Patients present with inconsistent clinical symptoms secondary to congestive myelopathy or compressive symptoms. Many cases are idiopathic, however some cases have been associated with prior surgery or trauma, as well as connective tissue diseases.
