Abstract 401: Safety and Efficacy of the Aristotle‐Only Direct Aspiration First‐Pass Technique (AO‐ADAPT) in Endovascular Mechanical Thrombectomy
Mechanical thrombectomy (MT) is the standard treatment for acute ischemic stroke (AIS) with large vessel occlusion (LVO), demonstrating high efficacy. Traditional techniques like ADAPT (A Direct Aspiration First‐Pass Technique) and stent retrievers, while effective, often require complex setups involving multiple devices. The Aristotle‐Only Direct Aspiration First‐Pass Technique (AO‐ADAPT) is a novel approach that simplifies the procedure by using the Aristotle 24 microwire to directly deliver a large‐bore aspiration catheter to the occlusion site, potentially reducing procedural complexity and time. This study aims to evaluate the safety and efficacy of AO‐ADAPT compared to the established ADAPT technique.
