Abstract 464: Y‐Stent Retriever Assisted Large Bore Contact Aspiration Thrombectomy: A Rescue Technique for Refractory Cerebral Venous Sinus Thrombosis
Cerebral Venous Sinus Thrombosis (CVST) is a rare but significant cause of stroke and mortality. Diagnosis is primarily based on clinical suspicion and dedicated imaging. Early subtle imaging abnormalities on non‐contrast CT scans may include widening of the superior sagittal sinus and, rarely, subarachnoid hemorrhage, which can progress to lobar hemorrhages in extensive cases. The mainstay of treatment is systemic therapeutic anticoagulation, which has demonstrated clinical effectiveness in over 87% of patients. Mechanical interventional therapies are typically reserved as rescue treatments.
