Abstract 290: Hyperfine Swoops in for Point of Care Imaging to Help Those Suffering from Subdural Hematomas
The Hyperfine Inc., Swoop system is the only FDA approved portable magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) system that uses an ultralow 64 millitesla (mT) magnet to help provide point of care imaging. The emergence of middle meningeal artery embolization (MMAE) for the treatment of subdural hematomas (SDH) has created the need for more frequent imaging than previously completed for those suffering from SDH. We sought to determine if Swoop may offer a reasonable alternative to the more standard head computed tomography (HCT) typically obtained and even mandated by most MMAE trials.
