Abstract 213: Caroticocavernous Fistula Complicated By Orbital Compartment Syndrome With Resultant Irreversible Optic Neuropathy Treated Successfully With 2 Flow‐Diversion Stents
Caroticocavernous fistulas (CCF) are well known to cause ipsilateral chemosis and ophthalmoplegia. Orbital compartment syndrome; however, is a rare complication. We present a case of a 65‐year‐old lady who presented with total vision loss in her left eye due to orbital compartment syndrome due to a CCF which was successfully treated with flow‐diversion stents.
