Abstract 191: Aneurysm coiling in unilaterally absent internal carotid artery presenting with subarachnoid and intracerebral hemorrhage
Unilateral agenesis of the internal carotid artery (ICA) is linked to a higher occurrence of intracranial aneurysms, which in turn leads to an increased incidence of subarachnoid hemorrhage (SAH) in these patients. The unusual anatomy and hemodynamic parameters make any intervention challenging. Although clipping has been commonly practiced for management, coiling is very rarely reported in literature.
