Abstract 085: Contact Aspiration Versus Combined Technique Thrombectomy in Vertebrobasilar Artery Occlusion: A Single Center Experience

Endovascular thrombectomy (EVT) has been established as a safe and effective treatment for acute stroke due to vertebrobasilar artery occlusion (VBAO) following two recently published clinical trials. However, the optimal first‐line technique, whether contact aspiration (CA) alone or a combination of CA and stent retriever (SR), remains unclear. This study aimed to compare the technical, clinical, and safety outcomes of contact aspiration (CA) versus a combined approach of CA and SR thrombectomy as first‐line treatments for VBAO.
