Abstract 074: Aspiration Thrombectomy Using the Superbore Millipede 088 Catheter
Studies have suggested that closely matching the catheter size to the vessel size may improve the effectiveness of clot aspiration in stroke thrombectomy. Superbore aspiration catheters with 8Fr OD and 0.088in ID, are hypothesized to provide improved clot ingestion capability and distal flow control leading to superior reperfusion success. In this work we report clinical experience using the 2nd generation Millipede 088 Access Catheter for aspiration thrombectomy.
