Abstract 070: An Algorithmic Framework for Acute Pediatric Stroke Management Across Kentucky
Pediatric stroke is an uncommon condition that may be associated with serious morbidity and mortality. There are many factors that contribute to delays in care for pediatric stroke patients: low family and provider suspicion, higher incidence of stroke mimickers, and limitations in consensus approach to acute management. AHA Guidelines (2019) recommend development of frameworks to connect community and frontline healthcare providers to tertiary care centers with pediatric stroke expertise. There is limited literature on the development or implementation of a multi‐institutional or regional framework along these lines.
