Abstract 056: Resolution of Acute Bilateral Hearing Loss Following Basilar Artery Thrombolysis and Mechanical Thrombectomy
Early and rapid identification of basilar artery occlusion (BAO) is critical for achieving positive patient outcomes, given its association with high mortality rates and severe neurological deficits. Timely recognition of both common and unusual symptoms can lead to prompt, life‐saving interventions. We present an unusual case of acute bilateral hearing loss as the initial manifestation of BAO, with complete resolution following thrombolytic therapy and mechanical thrombectomy.
