Abstract

Today, architectural activity exists in a competitive environment, in a world where construction technologies, design methods, and communication channels are actively developing. A modern specialist must perform technical tasks well, and also be able to surprise, innovate and be a creative person with individuality. These market conditions are fundamentally different from the characteristics of architectural activity in Soviet times. But architectural education in state universities still has the old structure. Some tasks are changing, but there is no comprehensive reform that the modern profession requires. An important direction in the reform of architectural education is the introduction of the study of innovative design and construction technologies. In order to do this, it is proposed to change the entire educational process. Changes must be made at the following levels: educational program, working methods, conditions for education. This article discusses an important part – the educational program. For the formation of a program and implementation the study of innovations, there is a proposal a few of techniques, which help to structure the educational program and make the disciplines relevant to the requirements of the profession.
