HISTORICAL RETROSPECTIVE OF KNOWLEDGE ABOUT LACTIC ACID AND THE ROLE OF LACTATE IN METABOLISM
The article discusses the history of the discovery of lactic acid, the evolution of knowledge about it. A review is made of studies on the role and place of lactate in metabolism and sports activity, in the process of competitive and training effects from the discovery of lactic acid to the present day. In the course of the study, the evolution of knowledge about lactic acid is revealed, the vector of modern research in this field is indicated, modern ideas about the role of lactate in metabolism and sports activity.
