Magnífica 70: precariedade e opulência em uma série original brasileira HBO

This study aims to discuss the stylistic choices of the series Magnifica 70. Based on intermediality, we discuss how the characteristics of Boca do Lixo productions and HBO series lead to a semiotic conformation based on the opposition between precariousness and opulence. Moreover, the analysis shows aspects of a Brazilianness that are strategically represented in the narrative in such a way as to intradiegetically confer an identity of origin via the discourse on the Military Dictatorship (1964-1985) and extradiegetically to the HBO brand as a synonym for quality.
