Accident Risk Assessment Study at The Concentrator

The application of the accident risk assessment methodology, which is the most effective way to predict accidents, is considered. The accident risk assessment takes into account not only the accidents that have occurred in the industry, but also the dangers, the probability of which is very high. Analysis of modern accidents at a hazardous production facility has shown that when designing an object, all adverse events that can be identified during its operation are not taken into account, for example, climate conditions, the location of the object, the use of outdated technologies, qualification and psychophysiological requirements for personnel are not taken into account. As the analysis of the causes of accidents at hazardous production facilities has shown, it is necessary not only to find «weak links» in technological chains, but also to predict how events caused by an accident at a hazardous production facility will develop, indicate how to reduce their consequences. The article presents the results of the application of the methodology for determining the criteria for assessing the degree of risk and checklists in the field of industrial safety at the facility.
