THE ROLE OF PLATELETS IN THE PATHOGENESIS OF THROMBOTIC COMPLICATIONS AND METHODS OF STUDYING PLATELET AGGREGATION FUNCTION (LITERATURE REVIEW)
In the modern literature, there is an active discussion of new methods for studying platelet hemostasis. The role of platelet aggregation properties in the development of thrombotic and hemorrhagic syndrome is considered, new treatment strategies for these conditions are being developed, and their effectiveness is being evaluated. The prospects for early diagnosis of prethrombotic conditions in patients make this problem relevant. An objective method for determining the aggregation properties of platelets is platelet aggregatometry. Platelet aggregation function is assessed using the optical (turbidimetric) method, which is most widely used in clinical diagnostic laboratories, and a new method with an impedance measurement principle. Both methods make it possible to assess the functional activity of platelets, identify the risk of thrombotic complications in patients, and evaluate the effectiveness of the use of basic antiplatelet agents.
