FEATURES OF AMINO ACID METABOLISM IN PREGNANT WOMEN WITH FETAL GROWTH RETARDATION

The analysis of the metabolomic profile of amino acid metabolism was performed in 98 patients with a confirmed diagnosis of fetal growth retardation; 65 patients with physiological pregnancy. It was found that pregnant women with fetal growth retardation had statistically significantly reduced levels of glutathione (p=0,000), asparagine (p=0,01), 3-methylhistidine (p=0,005), citrulline (p=0,004), anserine (p=0,017), carnosine (p=0,002), β-aminobutyric acid (p=0,046), γ-aminobutyric acid (p=0,000), α-aminobutyric acid (p=0,032), ethanolamine (p=0,022), methionine (p=0,000), and tryptophan (p=0,031); an increase in the concentration of: cysteine acid (p=0,046), histidine (p=0,016), homoserine (p=0,004), oxylysine (p=0,000), ornithine (p=0,009) was detected. The study of the features of the metabolic profile of free amino acids in pregnant women with fetal growth retardation will allow identifying additional diagnostic biomarkers, developing effective methods of treatment and prevention
