Despite their importance, the issue of ensuring the safety and efficiency of railway transport remains insufficiently studied today. An analysis the current state of research in the field of reliability of railway rolling stock and the probability of its failure is carried out. The purpose of the study is to determine the rationale for the method of increasing the service life of railway wagons.
