Developing an Experimental Automobile Muffler for Studying the Process of Increasing the Efficiency of Cleaning Exhaust Gases of An Internal Combustion Engine

The existing methods of cleaning exhaust gases of vehicles, their advantages and drawbacks are considered. Particular attention is paid to the promising ultrasonic method of cleaning exhaust gases. This is one of the few cleaning methods in which the operating mode of the ultrasonic equipment can be adapted to the operating mode of the engine. To obtain optimal cleaning results, the authors provide a diagram and appearance of the developed experimental vehicle muffler with a set of measuring devices for determining the indicators needed to optimize the cleaning mode of the vehicle exhaust gases with ultrasound.
