The Influence of Senior Health Menu Selection Attributes on Customer Satisfaction and Intention to Continue Use

As the average life expectancy of humans has been extended worldwide, Korea is also rapidly entering an aging society. However, as existing research is mainly focused on eating out consumption behavior, research on the attributes of senior consumers' health menu selection is insufficient. This study aims to analyze the effect of senior consumers' health menu selection attributes on customer satisfaction and continuous use intention and provide practical implications based on this. To this end, a total of 407 effective questionnaires were empirically analyzed for seniors aged 50 or older who have experience in selecting health menus. The main results of this study are as follows. First, the health menu selection attributes (menu composition, menu quality) had a positive effect on customer satisfaction. Second, the health menu selection attribute had a positive effect on the intention to continue using, suggesting that senior consumers value not only menu quality but also menu composition when choosing a health menu. It shows that food service companies can develop customized health menus for senior customers and induce continuous use of senior customers through menu composition and quality improvement.
