LTE-Advanced Network Planning with Inter-Band Non-Contiguous Carrier Aggregation in Mampang Prapatan
Mampang Prapatan is a very strategic area of health facilities, education centers, shopping centers, sports facilities, etc. Mampang Prapatan has an average resource block usage of 83. 755% or close to the operator's standard limit. KPI (Key Performance Indicator) operators, issue a standard for the use of RB (Resource Blocks), which is a maximum of 90%. If the percentage of RB is almost or even reaches 90%, then the site is declared to be experiencing user overload which has an impact on low throughput acceptance. This research using CA (Carrier Aggregation) method by combining 1800MHz and 2100MHz, each of which has a bandwidth of 10MHz. The simulation is carried out with two scenarios. The first scenario uses an 1800 MHz cell as the PCC (Primary Component Carrier). Whereas in the second scenario, the 2100MHz cell is the PCC. This research influences LTE-A network performance by implementing carrier aggregation. The average SINR (Signal to Interference Noise ratio) result was 11.67 dB with an increase of 89.45%. The average RSRP (Reference Signal Received Power) result was 83.41 dBm with an increase of 7.80% and an average throughput result obtained of 17622. 75Kbps with an increase of 67.83%.
