Safety assessment of satellite communication links for large fixed-wing UAS
This paper relies on the practical experience of satellite communication links for large domestic fixed-wing unmanned aircrafts(UAs), studying the design features and core functional requirements of satellite communication links from the perspective of functional failures. It improves the implementation path of safety analysis, explores potential failure modes and failure rate indicators that could jeopardize safe flight, analyzes key risk elements on the satellite communication link, and directly relates them to the reliability and safety of the satellite link, offering a new perspective for understanding the failure mechanisms of complex systems. Through safety assessment methods, it provides solid theoretical support and practical guidance for the top-level safety design and continuous optimization strategy of satellite communication links for large fixed-wing UAs.
