Error Performance of Circular θ-QAM with I/Q Imbalances
In communication systems, in-phase and quadrature (I/Q) amplitude and phase imbalances cause severe degradation in error performance. In this paper, we present the symbol and bit error performances of circular <tex xmlns:mml="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" xmlns:xlink="http://www.w3.org/1999/xlink">$\theta$</tex> -quadrature amplitude modulation (CTQAM) with I/Q imbalances in an additive white Gaussian noise channel and show that CTQAM is more robust to I/Q imbalances than the conventional square QAM.
