Key Structural Fault Characteristics of Aircraft Landing Gear Based on Computer Simulation
To support the development of landing gear fault diagnosis technology, the fault characteristics of landing gear shock absorbers and tires were investigated based on computer simulation. Firstly, a single-wheel dynamic model of the main landing gear was established to simulate the fault responses of the aircraft during both the landing impact and the taxiing phase. Subsequently, fault coefficients were set to characterize the severity of the fault, and the effect of fault severity on the responses of shock absorbers and tires was investigated. Finally, the fault characteristics during the landing impact phase and the taxiing phase were analyzed separately. The simulation results indicate that elastic faults lead to an increase in the energy absorption ratio for the affected components, while damping faults lead to a decrease in the energy absorption ratio. The study shows that the model established in this paper is well-suited for landing gear fault computers simulation; the energy absorption ratio can better characterize the characteristics of elastic and damping faults of landing gear Additionally, this study provide a theoretical foundation for landing gear fault diagnosis and predictive maintenance technologies based on real-time data during the landing phase.
