Design and Development of VR Virtual Chinese Painting Based on Unity3D
In the past two decades, with the rapid updates and iterations of computer graphics and assisted drawing technology, people have been able to create various art works that were previously difficult to complete. However, many Chinese people have become unfamiliar with the traditional art form of traditional Chinese painting, and more modern things are drowning it out. In the face of such a situation, using modern technology to express traditional Chinese painting in innovative forms can be a means for people to refocus their attention on traditional Chinese painting. There have been some attempts in the past decade, but the final presentation has mostly been done on ordinary monitors, with few cases of using virtual reality technology. Virtual reality technology provides two images with subtle differences in observation angles to the eyes, allowing the human brain to intuitively perceive the three-dimensional world and achieve dimensionality enhancement in presentation. This paper introduces the design and development process of a project that models several selected traditional Chinese paintings created by renowned artist Zhang Daqian in a virtual reality development environment, incorporates dynamic and interactive elements, and cleverly integrates them into a 3D scene.
