Research on the Shielding Performance of Aircraft Engine Electronic Controller under High-Intensity Radiated Field

To investigate the shielding performance of the Engine Electronic Controller (EEC) casing of an aircraft engine under High Intensity Radiated Field (HIRF) environment, the ZF-M600 EEC model was selected as the research object. A simulation model of the EEC was developed using CST, a three-dimensional electromagnetic simulation software. A plane wave irradiation method was employed to simulate the HIRF environment. The simulation results included changes in the electric field intensity at the internal probe and the electric field distribution on the surface of the device. The shielding effectiveness curve was calculated, and the relationship between shielding effectiveness, incident direction, and HIRF frequency was analyzed. The simulation results indicated that HIRF couples into the EEC through gaps and cause resonance. The electric field intensity significantly increased at the resonance frequency, resulting in a reduction in the shielding effectiveness of the EEC.
