INSPIRA: Telemonitoring System for Patients with Acute and Chronic Respiratory Failure
Respiratory failure diseases have historically caused high mortality worldwide. Telemedicine emerged as a response to combat the high demand and healthcare overload, especially driven by the COVID-19 pandemic. However, current systems and equipment remain insufficient to achieve comprehensive monitoring of various respiratory pathologies. This project proposes an application for remote and comprehensive monitoring of patients with respiratory failure. The solution includes a wearable device that measures multiple physiological variables and performs specific tests, recording the data in a web interface for subsequent analysis by the specialist doctor. The main objective is to improve patient health management, facilitate communication between patient and doctor, allow early diagnosis and offer continuous monitoring of respiratory disease.
