Design and Algorithm Research of Intelligent Ship Environment Perception System

This paper proposes a scheme based on LiDAR SLAM algorithm and multi-sensor data fusion, aiming to improve the ship’s perception ability and autonomous navigation ability in complex marine environments. The system integrates multiple sensors such as LiDAR, camera, radar, etc., and effectively enhances the perception accuracy of the surrounding environment through multi-sensor data fusion technology. LiDAR provides high-precision distance information, camera is used to capture visual features, and radar is used to detect long-distance obstacles. After fusion, these data form a more comprehensive environmental model. In addition, in order to verify the effectiveness of the scheme, this paper conducts detailed simulation tests. The simulation results show that the designed environmental perception system can maintain high stability and real-time performance under various complex sea conditions, with a positioning error of less than 0.5 meters, and the environmental perception error after multi-sensor fusion is reduced to $3 \%$. This result shows that the system performs well in complex marine environments and greatly improves the ship’s environmental perception accuracy and navigation safety.
