Measurement and Modeling of Industrial Complex Electromagnetic Interference for IIoT
The Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT) has revolutionized industrial production. However, severe electromagnetic interference (EMI) from factory equipment presents significant challenges to industrial wireless communication, making it difficult to meet the determinism requirements. Current research primarily relies on statistical analysis, treating EMI as background noise and random pulses. This approach fails to capture and predict real-time EMI information, thus making it difficult to ensure deterministic Quality of Service (QoS) in wireless networks. Our research reveals that welding-induced EMI exhibits deterministic patterns and has a strong corrleation with industrial control instructions. Based on these findings, a modeling method is proposed that treats welding-generated EMI as a time series. Parameters were successfully extracted from measurement data, and the method's performance was effectively validated. This method demonstrates broad applicability and can be extended to measure and model EMI from various industrial production equipment. In the future, it could utilize industrial control instructions to predict real-time EMI information, facilitating efficient wireless network resource management and meeting the deterministic transmission requirements of wireless communications.
