The Characteristics of Cube Storage: AutoStore System
The AutoStore cube storage system sets a new standard in autonomous warehousing. This study compares AutoStore's spatial efficiency, robotic mechanisms, and scalability with traditional Automated Storage and Retrieval Systems (AS/RS) and other robotics-based solutions. Key highlights in-clude AutoStore's high-density storage, efficient grid-top robots, and adaptable, modular design. The analysis also examines energy efficiency, comparing AutoStore's regenerative power system with other systems, and considers the shift towards a technologically skilled workforce. This evaluation clarifies the strengths and limitations of cube storage systems in modern automated warehousing.
