Model-Based Covert Cyber-Attack Detection for Cooling System in Data Center
This paper investigates a model-based covert cyber-attack detection scheme for cooling system in data center. Firstly, a state-space model of cooling system is established based on the operational principles. Then, the existence conditions of covert cyber-attack are outlined, i.e., all attacks that satisfy these conditions cannot be detected using conventional schemes. Furthermore, a residual signal at the actuator side is proposed based on the structure of attacked system, which can detect covert cyber-attack effectively. Finally, a simulation of cooling system in data center is carried out to demonstrate the effectiveness and superiority of the proposed scheme.
