The Evolution Path of Telco Infrastructure: From Open RAN to 6G AI-RAN (Telco Edge AI)

Telco infrastructure has evolved toward more intelligent, agile, and scalable network, and recently it is being required to integrate with artificial intelligence (AI) for purpose of monetization as well as intrinsic performance enhancement for connectivity. In this paper, we present the evolution path of telco infrastructure toward 6G that can generate new revenue stream for mobile network operators (MNOs) and re-rate the value of the telco infrastructure.
