A Study on V2X Communication System Test Strategy using ASPICE and ISO 26262

Vehicle-to-Everything (V2X) communication systems are essential in developing advanced driver-assistance systems (ADAS) and autonomous vehicles. As these systems become more complex, ensuring their safety and reliability through rigorous testing is paramount. This paper proposes a comprehensive test strategy for V2X communication systems by integrating Automotive SPICE (ASPICE) with the ISO 26262 functional safety standard. The integration aims to address both the process maturity and safety requirements, resulting in a robust testing framework. We evaluate the proposed strategy through a detailed case study, demonstrating its effectiveness in enhancing the quality and safety of V2X systems.
