Improving the Accuracy of Indoor Visible Light Positioning System by Using Multi-Parameters in Led-to-Camera
In recent years, Optical Wireless Communications (OWC) systems have emerged as integral components of future heterogeneous networks, offering a complementary alternative to RF technology. OWC encompasses various transmission schemes tailored for both indoor and outdoor environments. Notably, visible light communication (VLC) stands out as a promising transmission option within OWC due to its numerous advantages, including high bandwidth, cost-effectiveness, low power consumption, robust security features, absence of electromagnetic interference, and exemption from spectrum licensing requirements. This study explores the integration of accelerometer-based parameters in smartphone and camera-decoded positioning data with visible light positioning (VLP) methodology. Through experimental testing involving varying 3D distances around an ID-added LED, the research aims to assess the feasibility and enhance indoor positioning accuracy.
