A Joint Design of Hybrid Beamforming and Multi-Tap Cancellation for Full-Duplex mmWave MIMO Systems
In this paper, we proposed a full-duplex (FD) joint hybrid beamforming architecture with multi-tap canceller (JHBF-MTC) to tackle the self-interference (SI) in the millime-ter wave (mmWave) multi-input multi-output (MIMO) systems. The JHBF-MTC consists of digital precoder/combiner, analog beamformers and multi-tap canceller. The analog beamformers were designed utilizing angle-of-departure (AoD) and angle-of-arrival (AoA) information of mmWave channel, and the multi-tap canceller was designed by the residual SI. After that, we employed the iterative algorithm based on Lagrange multipliers to complete the optimization of the digital precoder/combiner. Simulation results demonstrated that the proposed JHBF-MTC system significantly improves achievable sum rate and self-interference cancellation (SIC).
