Research on Developing Hanbok Uniforms using Zero Waste and Virtual Modeling
This study develops Hanbok-inspired uniforms by modernizing traditional Korean designs to promote traditional culture and sustainability in fashion. Using zero-waste techniques, this research contributes to sustainable practices and the industrial application of eco-friendly fashion. The global rise in Hanbok recognition, driven by K-Pop and K-Dramas, has increased demand for diverse Hanbok-inspired clothing, particularly uniforms. The design incorporates traditional elemenis such as two-crane rank badge_(Hyungbae), Round-git, Mokpan-git, and Dang-Ko-git collar details, to represent cultural diversity. Three uniform sets of uniforms, comprising six items, were created using 3D virtual modeling and simulated in a virtual fashion show. The findings provides foundational material for content that promotes aimed traditional Korean culture and advances long-term sustainable fashion products.
