International Humanitarian Cooperation in the Emerging Multipolar World: Key Trends

The article examines the specific features of international humanitarian cooperation in a multipolar world with an emphasis on strengthening Russia’s role in the global humanitarian space. The aim of the study is to identify the features of humanitarian cooperation and establish the degree of its development within the framework of international associations using the example of BRICS and the UN Alliance of Civilizations. Content analysis is used, including analysis of literary sources and regulatory documents from international associations, systemic and statistical analysis of data. International humanitarian cooperation is considered within the framework of the BRICS association and the UN Alliance of Civilizations, since these associations are aimed at building inter-civilizational dialogue and by their nature are not regional integration associations, the specificity of which is a relatively high cultural homogeneity of political culture. The main macroeconomic trends in the economic development of BRICS from 2009 to the present are examined separately. Of particular interest in the context of the relationship between the economy and humanitarian cooperation are indicators related to education and science. It is important to ensure systematic long-term monitoring of relevant economic indicators, taking into account the development of humanitarian cooperation within international associations, since humanitarian cooperation in a multipolar world is a condition and basis for overcoming global challenges and solving problems related to the economy and ecology, as well as achieving sustainable development goals. Continuing to implement joint initiatives in the humanitarian sphere will play a key role in the successful implementation of economic programs and projects within international associations.
