The Axiological Dimension of Primitive Culture in Mikołaja Doświadczyńskiego przypadki by Ignacy Krasicki
The article is an analysis of the image of primitive culture created by Ignacy Krasicki, characterized by four features – external hermeticism, inclusive openness, tribalism and illiteracy. Both in terms of postulates of reform of the Polish cultural pattern of the second half of the 18th century hidden under the plot layer, as well as in the adopted method of creating the culture of the Nipuans, Krasicki emphasizes the sphere of “active” values close to the Enlightenment perception of reality;rationality, usefulness, cognitive objectivity and the common good manifesting themselves exclusively in the sphere of praxis are intercultural evidence of “man's emergence from immaturity”.
