Unraveling the Digital Divide: Examining Factors Impacting the Accessibility to Digital Resources in the Digital Age

The research focused on examining the variables affecting the accessibility to digital resources of BPO employees. The study was conducted in Mandaluyong City, Metro Manila, with one hundred three (103) respondents. The process of data collection was conducted during the second semester of the academic year 2023–2024. A quantitative approach with a correlational research design was employed to identify factors that hinder individuals' access to technology. The researchers utilized a self-made questionnaire to collect the necessary data that will support the study. Percentage, Mode, Chi-square Test of Independence, Cramer’s V, and Ordinal Logistic Regression analysis were the statistical treatments used by the researchers to analyze the collected data. The result of the study indicates that digital literacy level and digital skills and competencies are significantly correlated and a significant factor that determines the respondents’ accessibility to digital resources.
