Analyse de la performance logistique de distribution au Nord du Bénin : cas de la société VM Service (Afrique de l’Ouest)
Abstract. Delivery is the act of bringing products to the recipient who ordered them and there can be no delivery without transport. Transport is important in the operation of a company's activities because it contributes to the realization of logistics operations (purchases, supplies, deliveries, distribution). The objective of this contribution is to evaluate the performance of the logistics of distribution of SOBEBRA products in urban and periurban areas in northern Benin. The methodological approach (qualitative and quantitative) is based on direct observation in the field, a questionnaire survey of a sample of 41 people and semi-directive interviews with seven (07) people from the company Vision Marketing Service in the period from May to July 2024. The data collected are processed using SPSS V21 and Excel software. The results show that poor planning of delivery routes, malfunctions in the allocation of transport means, non-strategic allocation of spaces in trucks, the absence of a rigorous vehicle maintenance policy profoundly affect the logistics performance of the company and, by extension, its commercial and financial performance. Keywords: means of transport, vehicle routing planning, optimization
