CHALLENGES AND PROSPECTS FOR HYDROGEN MARKET IN BRAZIL
The use of green hydrogen in the global energy transition has been a significant topic of interest for governments and investors worldwide, with a specific focus on Brazil, which has recognized it as a strategic market in its national development plans. Brazil has a strong history in renewable energy generation, making it well-suited for exploring hydrogen's potential. This study observed the status of the green hydrogen market and its prospects through a comprehensive review of legal regulations governing this sector and the technological challenges in establishing a solid production chain. This paper also analyzed international indicators shaping the global green hydrogen market, assessing the common challenges faced by the international community. The study included a review of existing studies and reports from relevant institutions in this emerging field. The findings indicated that the hydrogen production market holds substantial potential for development and investment attraction. However, it also highlighted the technological challenges within the production chain and the legal complexities in creating a solid legal environment for this sector. Given the incipient nature of this sector, technological innovation and international collaboration are crucial for its coordinated development. From a Brazilian perspective, the regulation of hydrogen production activities and the establishment of certification standards are important elements to provide legal certainty for investors.
